Tomy Be Baby Aqua Splash n Print - by Andy

Posted by Andy on 20 March 2014 at 22:04

Having fun without creating a mess can be a bit of a challenge with a toddler. Wax crayons and paint can quickly become a real headache to clean up. Toddlers don't really need multi-coloured paints anyway when they first start out. Roll up the Aqua Splash!

We've seen aquadoodles being used before and with Doofy getting more interested every day in arts and crafts, we decided that it was time to get him his own one to play with. As usual, we went to Kiddicare to make the purchase. They have a range of different water-based products for kids to play with but given the limited space at home, we went for the mini-version.

As usual, the product arrived on time and next day. Faultless customer service again.

It's really a very simple product and every home should have one. The material changes colour when it gets wet, so kids can use a sponge, their hand or specially made pens to make patterns. Within 20 minutes, the material has dried out and is ready to use again.

It is only about 22" across and folds up very small, which means that you don't need the storage space that you need for endless pads of paper and pencils. Any spillage of water can be mopped up easily and there is no risk of your fancy new paintwork getting re-decorated by an enthusiastic amateur. The product is perfect for toddlers - Doofy is 16 months old and he is really enjoying making hand and foot prints on it. Hopefully we will get a lot of use out of it over the next few months and spend less time trying to wrestle crayons off him.

At £14.99 it's a bargain.

After first use we had a very, very faint waterstain that is a bit of a disappointment but it won't ruin Doofy's fun and it isn't bad enough to complain about.
