Brockbushes Farm - by Wittyhoots

Posted by Wittyhoots on 23 July 2014 at 23:16

Brockbushes is situated just off the A69 west of Newcastle Upon Tyne near Corbridge. It is a 'pick your own fruit' farm, with a great tea shop, farm shop and children's [lay area. Regular family friendly events throughout the year

Brockbushes Farm has something for the whole family - good food, play areas, activities and seasonal fruit picking too! There are regular activities held during term and holiday time. This year we decided to try out the raspberry and strawberry picking. It is a great activity to get the whole family involved. We were out in the fresh air for at least an hour and the children had a great time trying to find the largest, juiciest strawberries and raspberries. The only downside is trying to remember to not pick too many because there are only so many berries you can eat/use up in a week.

The tea shop they pleasant staff serve a range of delicious scones, home-made cakes, savoury pies, quiches, and soup. Local produce from the farm are used in their own Farm Kitchen to provide great quality and tasty food. Children are welcomed and easily catered for. Plus there are colouring in competitions with plenty of crayons and printed sheets to keep little ones occupied whilst waiting for their meal.
